No one will approve me for an auto loan?

i work a very good job and i need a 3600 dollar auto loan.

all the credit unions are denying my applications because i just turned 18 and i have no credit.

i do not have time to open a credit card and wait a year.

No one will approve me for an auto loan?
Here in New Jersey all you need is a hundred dollars and a pay stub for a chump change loan like that
Reply:Ask a relative, (mom, dad, grandparents) with excellent credit to add you to their credit card. Tell them that when the card comes in your name, they can destroy it, you are just trying to build good credit. The credit will then be issued as your credit history as well. It sometimes takes as long as three months depending on when that credit card reports to the credit bureau.
Reply:It takes time, effort and good financial discipline to build good credit. Lenders know this, and are reluctant to take chances, esp. now that lenders have lost a lot in the subprime lending market. Having a good down payment (30-40% of the loan principal) would help. Steady employment and housing would, too. You may have to lower your expectations a bit, buy an even cheaper car for cash (that you have saved), and get a credit card going with excellent payment history, living within your means, and before you know it, u have good credit. Good luck.
Reply:There are a huge number of banks that deal with auto loans for people with challenge credit. The two best choices are:

1. Go to a very large dealership that advertises that they help people with credit problems. A large dealership will normally have more banks they work with, more talented leading specialist on staff, and stronger relationships with the banks. (There are exceptions to this rule of thumb.)

2. Put down a large down payment. The more money you put down, the more likely the bank is to give you the loan.

Also, note two additional things:

1. Depending on current rebate offers, a new car may be easier to finance with a lower payment and lower down payment for you.

2. Some credit unions are wonderful for people with credit issues.

My advice is to find a dealer you feel comfortable doing business with. Believe it or not, there are honest auto dealers and honest car salespeople. Try to find one you instinctively feel good about. Generally, you will get the best deal from a "good person".

Reply:Someone will approve you, but not likely at the interest rate that you might like. Get financing at a higher rate and pay for a year and then refinance.
Reply:What advice I gave my daughter when she was 19 years, was when she worked, she kept trying to get credit cards, and yes she finally got them...now she regrets getting them...lol....( she didn't listen to her mom, to not over charge...)
Reply:You are very very young. You probably need a co-signer.
Reply:Go to a small dealer ship.. They financed anyone.
Reply:time to get mom and dad in on the act so that they can cosign for you.
