Can they add your late payments to the end of your auto loan?

I heard that if your late on your auto loan, they could attach them to the end of your loan, is that true

Can they add your late payments to the end of your auto loan?
Yes. This is true. It's up to the lender. They don't have to do this.

Good luck.
Reply:Depending on state laws they might be able to put your late payments at the end of the loan, Some states do not allow it. If the company is able to prvicde that program there might be some requirements that you need to meet.Just keep in mind if they do grant you extension assistance you maturity date will be extended therefore you will be paying more days worth of interest.Questions e-mail me
Reply:They can but they might not want to. What if you don't pay?
Reply:They can add any deferred payments to the end of your loan. What that really does is extend your loan by the number of payments you've extended over the term of the loan (so 1 payment would add 1 month on to your loan). If you don't speak with a representative at your bank or finance company to do an extension, that late payment will start showing up on your credit report as delinquent after 30 days. If you do pay late, there may be late charges that are tacked on to your final loan payment.
